Placement

  • Protect the device and sensors from direct sunlight, rain, and snow with an overhang or the hive cover.
  • Place the weight sensors on firm metal or ceramic supports in the same plane.
  • Do not allow water to accumulate around the sensors.
  • Position the temperature sensors according to the hive areas you need to compare.
  • Aim the motion sensor at the monitored area without tall grass or moving objects that could cause false triggers.

Danger

Do not make the device or antenna the highest point of the apiary.
